Several members of the Marblehead Wolfpack will be taking a plunge to raise awareness and funds for Mental Makeover, a nonprofit fighting the stigma around around mental illness. (Read the Current‘s recent feature article on the Wolfpack HERE.)
Judith Doane and other members of the Wolfpack, who immerse themsevles in the Atlantic at Devereux Beach twice a week for physical and mental health benefits, will be attending the Mental Health Makeover Polar Plunge on Saturday, Jan. 21, at Winter Island Park in Salem. People will jump in the ocean and then warm up inside with hot chocolate, music, raffles, games and more.
Registration oepns at 10 a.m. with the plunge happening at 11 a.m. Registration is $30. Click HERE for more information.
