The Marblehead High School field hockey team began a new season earlier this month with a moment etched in time. For the record, the Magicians took down Peabody, 2-0 on Sept. 6, and as a result history was made when coach Linda Rice Collins recorded her 300th career victory. Marblehead High's girls volleyball came out strong over Peabody Sept. 13, winning in straight sets, 25-16, 25-20, 25-19. For Marblehead, this was a huge comeback win against the reigning Northeastern Conference champions, and also a dramatic improvement after last week's NEC loss to Beverly.
