MHS football flies past Concord-Carlisle, 25-6; winning streak now at 21

Junior quarterback Miles O’Neill threw four touchdowns, two to senior Shane Keough, as the Marblehead Magicians opened their defense of their Division 3 state championship with a 25-6 non-conference win over Concord-Carlisle Friday, Sept. 9.

With the victory, Marblehead’s winning streak is now at 21 games, longest in the state.

O’Neill’s other touchdown tosses went to senior Connor Cronin and junior Andy Palmer. On the day, O’Neill was 15-for-22 passing for 187 yards.

Senior Eddie Johns paced the Magicians’ ground game with 77 yards on 10 carries. Johns also caught a pair of passes for 24 yards.

Marblehead is back in action at Piper Field this Friday, Sept. 16 at 6:30 p.m. in another non-league game against Lynnfield.
