Marblehead Police are investigating a string of racist graffiti incidents at Landfall Apartments on Creesy Street.
Most recently, a family moving Aug. 5 reported that a racial slur was carved into the hallway near their apartment.

“Property manager did call to report that several times over the last two months there have been racial slurs written on the property,” Police Chief Dennis King told the Current. “Investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information on these reported clearly abhorrent acts of vandalism can call the Marblehead Police Department.”
Harbor Management, based in Beverly, runs Landfall Apartments. President Dean Siflinger said his company is “outraged” and said the graffiti was erased as soon as it was reported.
“Whoever is responsible for this will be evicted as soon as legally possible,” he added.
Donna Cotterell, president of the Marblehead Racial Justice Team, said, “Regardless of who wrote it or when, this is deeply disturbing and unacceptable.”
Cotterell added, “I feel strongly that incidents like this should not be ignored or quietly erased. Bringing awareness to what happened is an important part of making sure our community continues to confront racism when it occurs.”
