Marblehead’s Rock n Row club celebrated its 20th anniversary with a neon tide water parade and party.
“All the boats (and rowers) were decked out in neon, we rowed from Little Harbor to State Street Landing in a two-by-two formation,” said Rock n Row’s Tracy Lessor. “When we got to the landing, we received a cannon salute.”
The rowing club has more than 70 members.
“Rock n Row is a vibrant group of people that share the love of ocean rowing,” said Caroline Wojtas of Marblehead. “We have something special that transcends rowing and helping our communities; it’s a bond I’ve never experienced before. This collection of diverse individuals inspires me to think bigger and moves me to do better.”
Rock n Row President Sherry Jones Maspons added: “For me, Rock n Row is where adventure meets community. Every time we launch from the dock, we’re reminded that it’s never too late to try something new, make lifelong friends, and experience the magic of Marblehead from the water.”
