Sick and Tired Tour 
Thursday, July 9, 4 p.m. 
The Marblehead Museum will hold a walking tour on the controversial history of health and medicine in town from colonial times to World War I.
Stories from the tour include the smallpox epidemic of 1730, when a local mob nearly tore down a judge’s house to protest inoculations; Dr. Elisha Story’s battle with anti-vaxxers in 1800; a colorful Marblehead pharmacist who sold medicines mixed with cocaine; and a heroic nurse who ran an emergency hospital during the Spanish flu pandemic.
Museum Associate Director Jarrett Zeman will illustrate the connections between the COVID-19 pandemic and health threats of the past and explore how Marbleheaders have fought each other for centuries to ensure healthcare for all.

Painting class for adults at MAA
Thursday, July 9 – Aug. 13, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. 
Let your creativity flow by learning watercolor painting techniques and how to set up a studio in a 6-week class. Paddle board yoga with The Yoga Loft 
Saturday, July 11, 2-4 p.m. 
Enjoy a 60-minute yoga session on the water with instructor Jennifer Craig. Your paddle board becomes your floating mat and all levels are welcome. ‘Wreck of the Mentor’
Wednesday, July 15, 7 p.m.
Bestselling author and Marbleheader Eric Jay Dolin will return to the Marblehead Museum to speak about his new book, “Wreck of the Mentor: A True Story of Death, Despair and Deliverance in the Age of Sail.” Dolin vividly reconstructs the doomed voyage of a whaleship in 1832 on a remote reef in the western Pacific, and the adventure the survivors faced, including contact with the Indigenous people of Palau, and the fraught naval rescue mission that followed.
