The Marblehead Chamber of Commerce is announcing big changes heading into the fall.
“Since restructuring the Chamber, our board has been working diligently to keep things moving forward and ensure that the Chamber continues to support and promote our local business community,” Chamber President Cara Johnson wrote in a press release. “We have a number of exciting updates and events coming up this fall and winter, and we are looking forward to continuing to build momentum together.”
In March, the Chamber announced it was getting rid of its executive director position, giving up its office space and relying on volunteers.
The Chamber has moved to 123 Pleasant St. at Local Works and is working on a new website, which should launch by the end of September.
“The new site will provide a more user-friendly way to showcase our members, promote local businesses and share Chamber events and information,” Johnson wrote. “Once the site is live, we will share more information with you about how to update your business listing and take advantage of the new features.”
The Chamber also listed several upcoming events.
- Sidewalk Sales — Saturday, Oct. 3. Sidewalk Sales will coincide with the Discover Marblehead Fall Fair this year, giving local businesses an opportunity to participate in a busy day downtown.
- NEW: Marblehead Restaurant Week — Week of Oct. 19
- Halloween Trick-or-Treat for Businesses — Thursday, Oct. 29
- Christmas Walk — Dec. 4–5
The Chamber is reducing is membership fee to $199 for all businesses. It is offering a $99 membership fee for new businesses joining the Chamber.
