Ebony is an 11-year-old spayed female who will be going through some major challenges in her life shortly. One of her owners was moved to a nursing home, and her other owner is having some health issues. The family has opted to surrender her to a shelter.

Ebony is shy when people are around, but when it is just her and her owner she will sit beside him and watch TV, according to those who know her.

Due to her age and quiet nature, volunteers would love to place her in a home before she enters the shelter life.

“Shelters can be a stressful situation, even for younger cats,” the shelter notes. “We are looking for a home with one or two people that want a companion cat that is mature and dignified.”

Ebony is up to date with routine shots, house trained and spayed.
