Abbot Public Library, 235 Pleasant St., announced an unexpected closure on Tuesday, due to “extremely icy” conditions resulting from recent severe weather.
Over the weekend, the area experienced significant snowfall and fluctuating temperatures, leading to the formation of treacherous ice.
On Facebook, the library encouraged everyone to “stay safe” and encouraged people to visit its digital collections at abbotlibary.org.
