Marblehead public meetings: June 22-30, 2022

Marblehead boards and commissions will be holding the following public meetings in the days ahead.

Wednesday, June 22

Old and Historic Districts Commission, 7 p.m., Mary Alley Building, lower-level conference room (use veterans’ agent entrance). The agenda includes a public hearing related to 20 Stacey St., and regular hearings related to 17 1/2 State St., 22 Stacey St., 26-28 South St., 126 Front St., 102 Front St. 3 Selman St., 100 Elm St. and 72 Front St., as well as roof applications that were administratively approved by the Building Department for 18 Waldron Court, 70 Front St. and 5 Fort Sewall.

Board of Selectmen, 7 p.m., Abbot Hall, 188 Washington St., Selectmen’s Meeting Room or attend virtually here. The board plans to reorganize, including appointing a new chair, in light of the previous night’s town election. The board is also scheduled to interview Boston architect Henry Celli and take a vote to make an appointment related to design review. It is also slated to discuss and possibly approve an annuity services contract with ePlus Technologies, Inc., and reappoint members for 2022 to boards and commissions under the selectmen’s purview. Renewals of Fort Beach shanty permits are also on the agenda.

Special Education Parent Advisory Council, 7 p.m. Attend virtually here. The council plans to honor unsung heroes, elect its officers, discuss its summer meeting schedule and planning for fall events.

Tuesday, June 28

Zoning Board of Appeals, 7:30 p.m. Attend virtually here. On the agenda are a requests for a six-month special permit extension at 14 Crestwood Road, an addition at 5 Lafayette St., an addition at 260 Ocean Ave., a project at 9 Treat Road, an addition at 157 Lafayette St., an addition at 16 Hathaway Road, an addition at 27 Tidewinds Terrace, an addition at 8 Rose Ave., an addition at 10 Neptune Road, a project to connect a garage to a home at 197 Beacon St., and an addition at 39 West St. The board also plans to discuss whether future meetings will be conducted remotely, in person, or a hybrid of the two.

Thursday, June 30

Board of Selectmen, 10 a.m., Abbot Hall, 188 Washington St., Selectmen’s Meeting Room or attend virtually here. The board plans to hold a public hearing to complete the annual stormwater management plan with Department of Public Works Superintendent Amy McHugh and staff engineer Maggie Wheeler and also approve year-end transfers with interim Finance Director Michael Carritte.
