It’s that time of year again! The Old North Festival Chorus and Orchestra will hold their first rehearsal on Wednesday, Sept. 24. Registration begins at 7 p.m. and rehearsal starts at 7:30 p.m. The 45th annual Festival Chorus Holiday Concerts will be held Dec. 6 at 8 p.m. and Dec. 7 at 8 p.m. at Old North Church, 35 Washington St.  Rehearsals will happen every Wednesday, 7:30-9 p.m. until the concerts. About 200 people turned out for the Marblehead Museum gala Saturday night, celebrating the completion of the $1.4 million Brick Kitchen project. The Brick Kitchen, part of the Jeremiah Lee Mansion on Washington Street, is only the third surviving detached slave quarters owned by a museum in New England. Manna Project launches new garden to feed local hungry families

On a recent sunny morning, about 20 preschoolers got their hands dirty — for a good cause.  The North Shore’s Manna Project, which supports people facing food insecurity, launched a new garden at Temple Sinai on Community Road to grow fruits and vegetables for the Marblehead Food Pantry.
