Peter Spiro Davis, 92, of Marblehead, formally of Longmeadow and Newburyport, passed away peacefully on Aug. 25, 2026. He was born in 1934 in Brookline. He was the first son of the late Spiro and Anastasia (Papagales) Davis.
After graduating from Brookline High School in 1952, he attended Northeastern University earning a degree in mechanical engineering. He enjoyed technical jobs at Gillette, Friendly’s and New Balance.
He served as a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army.

Peter was a very active member of both St. Luke’s Greek Orthodox Church in East Longmeadow and the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Newburyport. He served many years as a board member and led in numerous food festivals and other fundraising events. He participated in the construction and building of each church.
In his leisure time, Peter loved power boats, classic cars, gardening and spending time with family and friends.
Above all, Peter was deeply devoted to his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy Sideris Davis. Their 65-year marriage was a love story. He took special joy with his children and their spouses; Spiro P. Davis II and his wife Lorelei, Amalia Davis Lombara and her husband John, and Demetrios Davis and his wife Melanie. He was a proud Papou to his seven grandchildren; Anastasia, Lexi, Peter John, Taylor, Demi, Anthia and Lexin. Brother of George Davis and his wife Diana, Jim Davis and his wife Ann and Lee Davis and his wife Elizabeth. He was also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral services will take place on Friday, Sept. 4, at 11 a.m. at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church of New England, 514 Parker Street, Boston. Visitation prior to the funeral service from 10-11 a.m. at the church. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the above named church.
