PAWS & CLAWS: Grey Guys hope for blue skies

Grey Guy One and Grey Guy Two were found after being dumped in carriers at a construction site. They have now had an “extended stay” at the Marblehead Animal Shelter, which volunteers do not fully understand, as each would make a great addition to a home, they say.

While Grey Guy Two is more outgoing, Grey Guy One prefers to hang back and survey the situation, according to volunteers.

“He is shy, but he is a sucker for treats, especially ‘Party Mix,’” they say.

Give him some, and he will be your best friend.

Volunteers believe Grey Guy 1 would do best in a home with an experienced, patient owner.

“He will need consistency and love,” they say. “His home should not be a busy household but one that is quiet and one where he will not be left alone for long periods of the day.”

Grey Guy Two is happy, playful and loves everyone.

“HIs other name could be Raggedy Andy as he just loves flopping over for attention,” volunteers say.

Initially, volunteers believe that this pair of brothers had to be kept together but have since learned that Grey Guy 2 seems like he wants to be the only feline in the home.

“Grey Guy Two just loves being around people, playing and getting attention,” volunteers said. “If you are looking for a fun kind of cat, Grey Guy Two will be perfect for you.”

Grey Guy One and Grey Guy Two are just two of about 20 cats the shelter currently has up for adoption. Others include Goblin, a Russian blue, and Buttercrunch, a pale orange and white Himalayan. See all of the shelter’s animals online at marblehead-animal-shelter.org.

If you are interested in meeting any of the animals at the shelter, you must fill out an adoption application online.
