Marblehead Historical Commission issues call out for old shop signs

The Marblehead Historical Commission is looking for old Marblehead shop signs to use in an updated Sign Museum in the basement of Abbot Hall. Museum design concept work will be starting shortly. Folks who may have a sign from a former Marblehead shop and would be willing to donate it to the Historical Commission for this project should e-mail the commission at historic@marblehead.org with one's contact information and information about the sign. Old Town House exhibit maps the history of Marblehead in the 20th century

Marblehead residents and visitors until late October can step back into a not-so-distant past and explore life in this town in the 20th century. The Marblehead Historical Commission recently opened “Mapping Marblehead: The 20th Century and Beyond” in the Old Town House. ‘Bewitched, Bothered & Bewildered’ concert set for July 16 at St. Andrew’s

Vocalists Cameron Dobson and Mary-Alexandra Onstad will perform jazz standards and sing-along music July 16 at 5:30 p.m., in an outdoor “Pops on the Plaza” concert at the Church of St. Andrew, Marblehead. The Marblehead Historical Commission will present a new exhibit at the Old Town House, 1 Market Square, beginning on July 8. There was something for everyone at the Shelter My Soul concert Saturday night. New songs from the Chad Hollister Band and some old favorites from the Deb Larkin and Jeff Stout Jazz Quintet.
