Gene Arnould

Gene Arnould is the owner of the Arnould Gallery and Framery. He founded and produced the Marblehead Summer Jazz from 1985 to 2014. He was named Marblehead Rotarian (Paul Harris Fellow) in 1995 and the Chamber Frank Regan Outstanding Volunteer Award in 2014.

Brian Birke

Brian Birke is an attorney with Thomson Reuters Practical Law. His background is in commercial litigation and providing legal analysis to law firms and corporate legal departments. Brian received his law degree from Northeastern University School of Law and his bachelor’s in political science and communications from the University of Rhode Island. Brian lives in Marblehead with his wife and teen sons and has been an active volunteer in the community.

Cheryl Brolin Byrne

Cheryl Brolin Byrne is a communications professional with over 25 years of experience in public relations, crisis management and social media strategy. Her career spans politics, gun control advocacy and government affairs. A University of Massachusetts Boston graduate, Cheryl is committed to community service in Marblehead. She contributed to the successful campaign for Abbot Public Library renovations, served on the search committee for a new library director and has been involved with the Marblehead Current’s fundraising team while assisting with their advertising and marketing efforts.

Robert Peck, co-chair

Bob Peck is a family law attorney and longtime community volunteer. He is a former member of the Finance Committee (and former chair) and Select Board, the current chair of the Retirement Board and Cable TV Advisory Committee and a supporter and past president of the Marblehead Counseling Center. Bob serves on the editorial board of the Current. He graduated from Marblehead High School, class of 1966, Boston University and Suffolk Law School.

Donna Rice, advertising sales

Donna Rice is a sales and marketing professional who started her professional career at the Marblehead Reporter. She went on to leadership roles with The Boston Globe, Boston.com, NYT Digital, Community Newspaper Co., and others. She currently works with SaaS companies, providing financial benchmarking.

Rick Weed, treasurer

Rick Weed is a Marblehead native who has worked in finance for over 30 years. He has served as an equity investment lead at institutions such as State Street Global Advisors, Putnam Investments, F-Squared Investments and Mackenzie Investments. Rick graduated from WPI and Northeastern University with degrees in chemical engineering, and from MIT with a degree in finance and accounting. He’s a proud graduate of Marblehead High School, class of 1981, and will always be a downtown kid.

Mark Schwartz

Mark Schwartz worked as a teacher for 12 years before transitioning to tech marketing. He grew up in Swampscott and moved to Marblehead a few years ago with his wife and two daughters, ages 4 and 9 months. His main job — and what he says is his favorite job — is being a stay-at-home dad.

IN MEMORIAM: Ed Bell, co-founder, co-chair (2022-2025)

Ed Bell retired as Boston Chief of Bureau from the Associated Press after a 50-year career in print and broadcasting. He is a Paul Harris Fellow at the Rotary Club of Marblehead Harbor and hosted 100 episodes of “Up for Discussion” on MHTV.
