As the 14th seed in the Division 2 power rankings, the Marblehead High girls tennis team (12-6) took on Nauset Regional (8-9), the 19th seed, at home in the Round of 32 on May 26, and ended up defeating the Warriors, 4-1. The Marblehead High boys lacrosse team (14-5) entered the Division 2 state tournament as the 20th seed, and as a result it had to travel to Westboro to take on the Rangers (14-4), the 13th seed, last Friday afternoon, May 29, in a Round of 32 game. Softball gets 10th win  After beating non-league Ipswich, 9-2, on May 11, Marblehead High senior all-star pitcher Tessa Francis proudly holds up a sign that depicts her eclipsing 700 career strikeouts. MHS track teams fall to perennial rival Masco with plenty of individual highlights

The Marblehead High boys spring track team has a 7-1 record to date, while the girls are 5-3. In a recent meet against Masco, both teams were on the short end of the scoreboard. The boys dropped a 72-64 decision to the Chieftains, while the girls fell, 101-35. Baseball Magicians beat Peabody behind Fuentes’ shutout  The Marblehead High baseball team (8-7) is still on the plus side in terms of wins and losses, despite losing two out of three last week.
