Aug. 16 will be the first Marblehead Art Crawl & Open Studios from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Over 25 local artists will be opening the doors of their studios for visitors to stop by to meet them and learn more about their craft.

This is a special opportunity to view and purchase local art where it is being created, according to the MAA. Inspiring studio offerings will include everything from hand-crafted jewelry and ceramics to fine art and photography, cyanotype and sculpture, printmaking and woodworking.

Marblehead Arts Association’s Art Crawl & Open Studios is a free, self-guided tour for visitors and will take place rain or shine. Maps can be downloaded one week prior to the event for a great afternoon of meeting local artists, shopping for art and supporting the local arts community.
