Richard “Dick” Russell, 79, a proud resident of Marblehead, passed away on June 17, 2026, after a long illness

Born in Salem, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Anne J. (Conroy) Russell and John R. Russell, former police chief of Marblehead.

Richard “Dick” Russell

Dick graduated from Marblehead High School with the Class of 1965 and from the California Institute of Technology with the Class of 1969, earning a bachelor’s degree.
