Fascinators at MAA 
Wednesday, June 24, 6:30-8.30 p.m. 
Make your own bespoke fascinator (fancy head piece) at the Marblehead Arts Association, 8 Hooper St. You can wear your design at the Arts Festival Champagne Reception (see below). Supplies are provided but it’s encouraged to bring your own netting, feathers and other embellishments. Fees: $25 for MAA members, $30 non-members.

Bee aware
Wednesday, June 24, 6:30-7:30 p.m. 
Get to know more about bees by joining beekeeper Carlo Lopez Ricco for a presentation on bee swarms with a Q&A session at Abbot Public Library. 235 Pleasant St.

Go behind the scenes
Wednesday, June 24, 7-8:30 p.m. 
Spend an evening with local architect Thomas Saltsman exploring the creative process behind his multi-media Halloween installations that have drawn crowds from around the world for nearly 20 years. RSVP at marbleheadfestival.org. The event is at the UU Church on Mugford Street.

‘Wreck of the Mentor’
Thursday, June 25, 7 p.m. 
Join bestselling author Eric Jay Dolin at the Marblehead Museum, 170 Washington St., to learn more about his new book, “Wreck of the Mentor.” You will dig into the doomed voyage of a whaleship in the western Pacific in 1832. For museum members $10, for non-members $15.

Yoko Miwa Trio 
Thursday, June 25, 7 p.m. 
End your day listening to the Yoko Miwa Trio at the Marblehead Arts Association, 8 Hooper St., as a part of its Arts and Jazz series. Tickets are $35 each and can be purchased at the Arnould Gallery or at marbleheadarts.org. 

Farmers’ Market
Saturday, June 27, 9 a.m.-noon
Come shop for fresh fruit, vegetables, prepared foods, crafts and more at the Marblehead Farmers’ Market, behind Veterans School. 

Arts Festival Champagne Reception
Sunday, June 28, 5 p.m.

The annual Champagne Reception is one of the highlights of summer in Marblehead and the kickoff of the Festival of Arts. A gala on the ocean at beautiful Fort Sewall, this is the place to see and be seen, dance to favorite tunes, meet new friends, reconnect with old friends and have a great time.
