Marblehead runners turned in several standout performances Saturday during the Festival of Arts road races, with local competitors claiming top finishes in the Fun Run, 5K and 10K events.
In the Mile Fun Run, 10-year-old Reid Gage of Marblehead was the overall men’s winner, crossing the finish line in 7 minutes, 34 seconds. Abby Pry, 7, of Incline Village, Nevada, led the women’s field in 8:49. Marblehead’s Gemma Giacalone finished second among women in 8:53.

The 5K featured a Marblehead sweep of the top two men’s spots, as Scott Snyder won in 17:30 and Christopher Furnari placed second in 18:51. Ashley Sanderson-Snyder of Marblehead was the women’s champion, finishing in 19:34, while fellow Marbleheader Hayley Martin took second in 22:02.
In the 10K, Peter Shield of Somerville captured the men’s title in 34:37. Marblehead’s Jonah Potach finished fourth overall and was the top local finisher in 37:19. Brookline’s Cayla Barretto won the women’s race in 43:56, while Marblehead’s Sally Reiley placed fourth among women in 46:30 and Justina Perro finished fifth in 48:42.
