‘Mamma Mia!’ at MHS
Friday, May 1-Sunday, May 3
Marblehead High presents the hit musical “Mamma Mia!” The show, featuring hits by ABBAm tells the story of a young woman’s search for her father. The sunny and funny tale unfolds on a Greek island paradise. All shows performed at the Marblehead High School auditorium. Shows run through the weekend. Spring Sound Bath
Thursday, April 30, 7-8 p.m.

Chess Club for Kids 
Thursday, April 30, 3:30-4:30 p.m. 
Your child may be the world’s next chess master! Bring them to Abbot Library’s Chess Club where they’ll improve their skills and play against other kids. Ages 7-11 years.

The Smack Dabs
Friday, May 1, 8 p.m.

Green Homes Tour With Sustainable Marblehead — Five new homes this year 
Saturday, May 2, 10 a.m. -2 p.m. 
Have you ever wondered how to make your home more energy efficient? Join Sustainable Marblehead’s Green Homes Tour and visit nine different homes to learn simple solutions that save money and energy. Devereux Beach Carnival
Thursday, May 7-Sunday, May 10
The annual Devereux Beach Carnival is coming, sponsored by the Marblehead High junior class. Admission is $2 (kids under 36” are free). 

Carnival hours are:
Thursday: 6-10 p.m.
Friday: 6-10 p.m.
Saturday, 1-10 p.m.
Sunday, 1-6 p.m.

Community Champions Rising Tides Celebration 
Thursday, May 7, 6:30-11:30 p.m. 
Marblehead Counseling Center invites you to a festive night to celebrate heroes in the community. You can expect live music and great food sponsored by the Beacon restaurant. Come celebrate coaches, volunteers, business leaders, friends and neighbors. Toast the MCC’s Community Champion Award winner, too. Tickets are $81.88 each and the money goes towards quality mental health care and social services in Marblehead and surrounding towns. More info and tickets at marbleheadcounselingcenter.org.

Plant Sale 
Saturday, May 9, 8:30-11:30 a.m. 
Get a floral Mother’s Day present by attending the Driftwood’s Garden Club’s plant sale at Masonic Hall. The sale features everything from perennials, ground covers and annuals from local gardens, with a new addition this year: a curated selection of houseplants. All proceeds support the gardens and grounds at Old Farrell Court and Abbot Public Library. You will be greeted by personal shopping assistants and there are carry-out services available. Questions?
