Live music with 5 X Fast 
Thursday, April 23, 7 p.m. 

Come rock out with local band 5X Fast, which performs a mix of indie, alternative and new wave covers. They’re playing at The Landing Restaurant.

Dan Dixey at Marblehead Museum
Thursday, April 23, 7 p.m.

Dan Dixey returns to the Marblehead Museum for the latest in his series of popular “Marblehead Images” lectures. The event will feature historic photographs of Marblehead in the 1800s and 1900s, including rarely seen shots Dixey discovered in the past year. Tickets are $16 for the public and $11 for museum members. More info and registration at marbleheadmuseum.org.

Town tree planting 
Saturday, April 25, 8:30–11:00 a.m. 

Be a part of Marblehead’s sixth annual tree planting. Join town Tree Warden Jon Fobert to plant 25 shade trees behind the Village School. Accidentally on Purpose
Saturday, April 25, 7:30 p.m. (doors open 7 p.m.)

Experience a live improv comedy show at Marblehead Little Theatre, 12 School St. The troupe Accidentally on Purpose performs an interactive play where audience members can change the story live! Tickets are $25 at mltlive.com or at the door for $30.

‘Marblehead Morning’ documentary 
Sunday, April 26, 12 p.m. 

A premiere of the feature-length documentary about Marbleheaders Mason Daring and Jeanie Stahl, “Marblehead Morning,” will be held at the Battle Theatre in Cambridge as part of the Boston Independent Film Festival. The documentary follows singer/songwriters Daring and Stahl’s careers as a New England folk duo and as artists. The story is told through nine studio songs and features Marblehead’s Me & Thee Music. Mahjong play 
Sunday, April 26, 1-3 p.m.

Open mic
Monday, April 27, 7-8:30 p.m. 

Share your own writing at the Abbot Public Library open mic series. It’s recommended to prepare a piece that is five minutes or less. The host is poet Claire Keys, professor emerita at Salem State. Light refreshments will be served. Registration required at abbotlibrary.org.
