Hen, also known as The Boss, was a wonderful mom to her kittens, according to volunteers at the Marblehead Animal Shelter. Her foster mom reported that she was quiet at first and a little opinionated but became very sweet and playful once she settled in.
“She just needed time,” the foster mom said.

After getting so comfortable in her foster home, Hen is a little confused as to why she is back at the shelter, according to volunteers, who say she prefers being one on one with another and being spoken to in a quiet manner.
“Shelter life is a little too stressful for her, and she is not getting the one-on-one time that she needs to make her personality shine again,” one volunteer explained.
Hen is up to date with routine shots, house trained and spayed.
If you are interested in meeting Hen or any of the animals at the shelter, you must fill out an adoption application online at marblehead-animal-shelter.org. Shelter volunteers do not respond to inquiries.
