PAWS & CLAWS: Shelter cat saved in ‘Nick’ of time

Nick is a gentle kitty who is easy to love, according to volunteers at the Marblehead Animal Shelter.

“You can tell just by looking at his face what a hard life he must have endured before being rescued,” they say.

Nick came to the shelter after being rescued off the streets of a busy city.

“It is a wonder how he managed not to get hit by a car,” one volunteer said. “What so many cats have to endure until they are rescued is amazing.”

Nick shows some “battle scars,” but his warm personality and his good looks will melt anyone’s heart, shelter volunteers say. Nick loves getting petted in his cozy bed and headbutts your hand if you stop, they report.

Nick is up to date with routine shots, house trained and neutered.

If you are interested in meeting Nick or any of the animals at the shelter, you must fill out an adoption application online at marblehead-animal-shelter.org.
