Spring Nor’easter to batter Marblehead Thursday

A Nor’easter will hit Marblehead today with rain, high winds and the threat of coastal flooding.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory from 2-11 p.m., with gusts estimated up to 45 mph. A coastal flood emergency is in effect from 6-11 p.m. Tonight’s high tide is at 7:50 p.m.

“All yacht clubs have closed launch services until further notice,” said Harbormaster Mark Souza. “My department will be staffed and prepared for any emergencies that come up.”
