It’s not too late to join SPUR’s Holiday Cheer Drive to provide winter essentials and gifts to more than 600 children, as well as adults facing homelessness, in Marblehead, Swampscott, Salem, Beverly and Lynn. SPUR is a Marblehead-based nonprofit. Visit spurholidaycheer.com to get involved.
Sponsors can choose a wish list which includes something the recipient wants, something they need, something to wear and something to read. Once sponsors have finished their shopping, they can return their new, unwrapped bundles of cheer to the SPUR office, 6 Anderson St., by Monday, Dec. 9.

“While for many of us it may feel like life is returning to normal, we have seen a greater need for the support the Holiday Cheer Drive provides than ever before,” said Kim Nothnagel, SPUR’s director of community relations and communications. “The SPUR Holiday Cheer Drive is about more than giving a gift— it’s about making a difference in the lives of neighbors in our community.”
