Hen, also known as The Boss, was a wonderful mom to her kittens, according to volunteers at the Marblehead Animal Shelter. Her foster mom reported that she was quiet at first and a little opinionated but became very sweet and playful once she settled in. “She just needed time,” the foster mom said. PAWS & CLAWS: Shelter cat saved in ‘Nick’ of time

Nick is a gentle kitty who is easy to love, according to volunteers at the Marblehead Animal Shelter. “You can tell just by looking at his face what a hard life he must have endured before being rescued,” they say. Nick came to the shelter after being rescued off the streets of a busy city. “It is a wonder how he managed not to get hit by a car,” one volunteer said. “What so many cats have to endure until they are rescued is amazing.”…

Anne (Hammond) Khatchadurian, 86, of Marblehead passed away peacefully on Friday, Dec. 12, 2025. She was the daughter of Ralph and Mary Margaret (Brady) Hammond. She was a true Marblehead townie.
