Hen, also known as The Boss, was a wonderful mom to her kittens, according to volunteers at the Marblehead Animal Shelter. Her foster mom reported that she was quiet at first and a little opinionated but became very sweet and playful once she settled in. “She just needed time,” the foster mom said. Nick is a gentle kitty who is easy to love, according to volunteers at the Marblehead Animal Shelter. “You can tell just by looking at his face what a hard life he must have endured before being rescued,” they say. Anne (Hammond) Khatchadurian, 86, of Marblehead passed away peacefully on Friday, Dec. 12, 2025. She was the daughter of Ralph and Mary Margaret (Brady) Hammond. She was a true Marblehead townie.
