Marblehead Public Schools has announced that Mary LeBlanc is the new principal of Glover Elementary School following an “extensive search process,” according to a press release.
An educator with more than two decades of experience in Marblehead Public Schools, LeBlanc “brings a deep-rooted commitment to student success and a wealth of instructional expertise to her new leadership role,” said Superintendent John Robidoux.
LeBlanc has been a member of the Marblehead educational community for 24 years. Most recently, she served for five years as a literacy coach at Glover and Brown schools, where she collaborated with staff to implement evidence-based literacy curricula and advance equitable learning through the district’s multi-tiered system of supports framework. She previously spent 14 years at Village School as both a classroom teacher and teacher leader.
“Mary’s long-standing dedication to the students of Marblehead and her proven track record as an instructional leader make her the ideal choice to lead Glover School,” Robidoux said. “Her deep understanding of our district’s goals and her existing relationships with our staff and families will ensure a seamless transition and continued excellence for our students.”
LeBlanc holds a bachelor of arts in English from North Adams State College and a master’s degree in elementary education from Salem State University. She also earned a certificate in leadership from Salem State University.
LeBlanc is a longtime Marblehead resident, where she lives with her husband. She is the mother of three grown children and remains deeply invested in the community.
Glover School families are invited to meet LeBlanc at a Coffee with the Principal event on Thursday, Aug. 13, at 9 a.m. at the school.
