PAWS & CLAWS: Shelter has rockin’ litter of kittens ready for adoption

Breed: Domestic shorthair
Size: Medium
Age: Kittens
Sex: Female and male

The Marblehead Animal Shelter recently took in a mother cat, whom a rock ’n’ roll fan in the shelter’s volunteer corps dubbed Mother Love Bone, along with her litter of kittens. Those kittens — females Thin Lizzy, Molly Hatchet, Blondie (who is actually calico with more black) and Metallica and males Zeppelin and Nirvana — are now ready and waiting to be adopted.

All of the kittens are friendly, playful and outgoing, according to shelter volunteers (though they are a bit older now than shown in their pictures).

The shelter only adopts young kittens in pairs or to homes where there is another young, playful cat.

Potential adopters must be registered with a veterinarian, as they will need additional vaccinations and to be spayed or neutered.

Mother Love Bone’s kittens are up to date with routine shots and house trained.

If you are interested in meeting any of the animals at the shelter, you must fill out an adoption application online at marblehead-animal-shelter.org.
