About 450 Brown School pre-K through third-grade students dressed in a rainbow of colors and raised more than $31,000 during the school community’s 10th annual Fun Run on May 21.

Wearing tie-dyed t-shirts, the kids, ages 3-10, celebrated fitness and school spirit. The fundraiser received donations from 22 states and countries around the world, as far away as Uruguay. Over the last decade, the Fun Run has raised $250,000.
All proceeds from the event will be used to fund the Brown School PTO. Funds enrich the student experience by supporting outdoor garden teaching programs, children’s book author visits, and events like the S.T.E.A.M. Fair, Book Fair, Monster Mash and Holiday Shop. The PTO also funds and organizes teacher appreciation efforts.
The event was supported by local sponsors: JCC of the North Shore, Mud Puddle Toys, Pint Size & Up, YMCA of the North Shore and Yoga Loft.
