The town has sent out an alert announcing that Marblehead schools — and all school activiites — are cancelled Monday due to the monster storm that could dump up to two feet of snow here.
All municipal offices will also be closed, along with Abbot Library, the Jacoby Community Center and Council on Aging.
The snow emergency parking ban is now in effect with no set end time. The town will post updates and any reopening information at www.marbleheadma.gov.
