OBITUARY: Fletcher Whitney Crandall, 74

Fletcher Whitney Crandall, 74, of South Hamilton, formerly of Marblehead, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 2, unexpectedly.

He retired from the insurance industry and was the proud father of three sons.  He was known for his strength, humor and unwavering dedication to his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Linda (Pritchard); three sons, Fletcher, Jr. and his wife Cynthia of Marblehead, Jonathan and his wife Heather of Danvers, and Cameron of South Hamilton. He also leaves behind three sisters, Cheri Garrett of Marblehead, Candy Crandall of Conway, New Hampshire, and Kim Maxwell and her husband Steve of Marblehead; and one brother, J. Taylor Crandall of Alamo, California. Fletcher had six grandchildren: Cara, Ava, Julia, Fletcher, Jackson and Cameron; and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, Sept. 9, from 4-7 p.m. at Eustis & Cornell of Marblehead, 142 Elm St. His funeral service will take place at Old North Church, 35 Washington St, Marblehead, Sept. 10, 11:30 am.
