BREAKING NEWS: Forecast moves MHS graduation indoors

A forecast of potentially severe thunderstorms is moving this evening’s Marblehead High School graduation inside the field house.

“We have made the difficult decision to move graduation indoors tonight,” Jared Kaplowitch, senior class president, told the Current. “Safety is our top priority and it’s the safest call. No tickets will be needed, it is open to everyone who wants to attend.”

According to the National Weather Service, showers and thunderstorms are likely Friday after 1 p.m. Some of the storms could be severe. Thunderstorms may continue until 11 p.m.
