The 125th anniversary of the national VFW is Sunday, Sept. 29, and the Marblehead VFW Post 2005 is hosting a free brunch, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., for current and potential new members. Commander Ronny Knight has invited local, state and federal leaders to the celebration , along with retired flagged command military officers.
“This brunch , however, is not a day for speeches. It is a day to come together and bond as one team,” Knight wrote in a press release. “Our time in uniform may have ended but our journey as veterans continues.”
The VFW is located at 321 West Shore Drive.
