SUMMARY:Ellis Paul at Me&Thee
DESCRIPTION:With a shelf full of Boston Music Awards\, Ellis Paul returns to the Me&Thee for an evening of intimate\, provocative and romantic tales. A troubadour\, a folky\, a storyteller\, Paul has been a force on the scene since 1993 with his independent debut\, “Say Something\,” which was produced by Bill Morrissey. \n\nEllis Paul is the quintessential songwriter who has released close to two dozen albums. With a tattoo of Woody Guthrie worn proudly on his arm\, his commitment to Guthrie’s legacy led to his inclusion in a ten-day celebration of Woody’s work held at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame\, an event that included Bruce Springsteen\, Billy Bragg\, the Indigo Girls and Ani DiFranco. He later headlined at the first Woody Guthrie Folk Festival in Okemah\, Oklahoma. \nIn the words of Guthrie’s daughter Nora: “In times like these\, when so many nuts are running the show\, it’s comforting to know that Ellis Paul is actually holding our sanity on his own stage! Wise\, tender\, brilliant and biting\, Ellis is one of our best human compasses.”

SUMMARY:The Oshima Brothers at Me&Thee
DESCRIPTION:The Oshima Brothers presented the last concert at the Me&Thee in the spring of 2020 before its forced two-year Covid pause. It’s taken a herculean effort to recover\, recoup and return. Organizers wanted them back to complete that circle and to help them usher in the rebirth of Me&Thee Music. The brothers’ magnetic sibling sound and contagious joy are the result of a lifetime of making music together. \n\nRaised in a musical family in rural Maine\, Sean and Jamie have refined a harmony-rich blend of contemporary folk and acoustic pop to create an effectively full sound with dynamic vocals\, electric and acoustic guitars\, octave bass\, live looping and foot percussion. \nThis indie duo says they want every show to feel like a deep breath\, a sonic embrace and a dance party. The Oshima Brothers have been eager to play for live audiences again and to share their new album\, “Dark Nights Golden Days.”
