‘Rock the Arts’ and support MHS students

At Marblehead High, students involved in the performing arts are preparing for a year packed with concerts, performances and trips. In order to fund these activities, the school relies on contributions from the community organized through Friends of the Performing Arts, or FoPA.

FoPA is hosting a “Rock the Arts” night at the King Hooper Mansion Thursday, Nov. 2,  from 7-10 p.m. raise money.

“These kids are such talented performers,” said FoPA executive board member and chair of the gala Sylvia Kane. “We just want to provide them with as many opportunities as we possibly can.”

The gala will feature live music, raffles, appetizers and desserts. All proceeds will go directly to the MHS performing arts department to fund projects such as the upcoming field trip to New York and the spring musical. In honor of “Prom,” the chosen musical, gala attendees are invited to dress in prom attire, whatever that may mean for them.

Tickets are $75 and available HERE.
