To the editor:
The last week as a parent of young children at the outset of their academic careers in Marblehead has been devastating to watch. I don’t think anyone can observe the current climate in our community with anything but absolute heartbreak for our children, faculty and staff.
I am writing to urge all of us to take a collective deep breath and commit to coming together to work collaboratively on behalf of our children and educators to continue to make the Marblehead Public Schools truly exceptional — no matter the outcome of the current controversy.
We have a lot of hard work facing us, and we are going to need the entire community to put aside differences of opinion and work together — it’s the least we can do for our children.
