Wind and rain forced the cancellation of the Marblehead Christmas Walk parade on Saturday, Dec. 3. But the vintage vehicles owned by members of the Marblehead Old Car Club were gassed up and ready to go. There was just one thing to do.
Shortly before noon Sunday, Dec. 4, led by “parade float” Michael LaFayette in his ’12 Ford Expedition with speaker blasting holiday tunes, the members of the Old Car Club took the the parade route, working their way up from Front Street to Atlantic Avenue, turning at the police station and then heading back down Pleasant Street.
The vehicles made multiple loops, as appreciative Christmas Walk shoppers stopped to review the procession.
In case you missed it, here are a few scenes.
