Board: Board of Health
Date: Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2022

Observer: Tom Kruger
Attendance (via Zoom): Todd Belf-Becker (chairperson), Joanne Greer Miller and Helaine Hazlett, along with Health Director Andrew Petty and secretary Andrea Flaxer
Meeting highlights:
- Health Director Andrew Petty gave an update on the transfer station. At a meeting earlier in the month, the Transfer Station Facility Committee had voted in favor of a traffic plan that would have all commercial and residential traffic entering the access road off Green Street and exiting on Woodfin Terrace. But by a vote of 2-1, the Board of Health rejected that plan, opting instead for one where residential traffic would enter the access road off Green Street and exit Woodfin Terrace, but commercial traffic would enter and leave via Woodfin Terrace.
- The board voted to have Petty draft a policy related to soon-to-be-effective statewide bans on certain waste products, including limits on construction materials, and bans on textiles and mattresses.
- Petty’s regular report included an update on the town’s COVID numbers and the temporary presence of cyanobacteria in Redd’s Pond.
